EC Gallery was founded in October 2008 by artist and curator Ewa Czeremuszkin. The gallery is located in West Loop-Fulton Market District, one of Chicago’s most vibrant art neighborhoods. The gallery has become known for displaying unique contemporary art in diverse media such as painting, drawing, and photography.
EC Gallery represents and promotes a broad spectrum of emerging and mid-career contemporary artists from around the world. It focuses more on curatorial projects and less on commercial events. During the first year it held individual and group shows of new and established artists such as Justyna Adamczyk, Tadeusz Bilecki, Agata Czeremuszkin-Chrut, Jola Jastrzab and Paul Kowalow.
