Viveek Sharma

Viveek Sharma was born in Mumbai in 1968, lives and works in Mumbai, India.
Sharma received his master degree from the well-known J.J. School of Arts in Mumbai in 1994.

He participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions including: "Featuring S(outh) E(ast) A(sia) – g27", Viveek Sharma (India), Hideki Iinuma (Japan), Fabian & Claude Walter Galerie, g27; Galerie del Arte, Mumbai; THE VIEWING ROOM, Delhi; Indian Style, Beck & Eggeling emerging markets, Düsseldorf; Avanthay Contemporary, Zürich; Asia Mouse, London; Popular Reality, Gallery Stainless, New Dehli; Viart Gallery, New Dehli; Generation Next, Akriti Art Gallery, Kolkata; Harmony Show, Mumbai; Independent India, Ati Art Gallery, New Dehli and 2006 Harmony Show, Mumbai.

In 2009 Sharma was awarded by Scholarship Staatliche Kunstsammlungen, Chemitz, Germany, "Artist in Residence" and in 2004 by Maharashtra State Award for Artistic Excellence.
